So, had made my mind made up to run the Taramps HD3000 for a sub amp based on some recommendations from folks on here. Back when I made that decision, it was selling for like $157 on Amazon. Now that I've scraped the dash together, I see that it's selling for $200. So, I'm looking for other options in that $150ish price range. It'll be powering 2 Sundown e8's in a ported box. I've seen SoundQbed talked about on here as a good bang for the buck. But, seems like their prices have gone up too. I swear the that people recommend used to be $149, but is now $179ish. What else do y'all recomend? I was checking out the Taramps MD1800 and it looks promising. But, there's no free shipping from Amazon.

179 for a 1200 watt 1ohm stable amp with clip indicator is not bad imo.. why cheap out too much?
$20-30?
Jmho
Looks like the 1800 is actually right around the same price as the 1200 with shipping. I agree with you about cheaping out too much and $20-$30 is not a deal breaker. But, if I say that $20-$30 is not a big deal, then what's another $20-$30 for the HD3000... could go one and on, it's a slippery slope :) It is what it is, I have a budget to work with and just want to make sure I get the most I can for that budget.

Well, I decided to kick this can down the road a bit and ordered my subs instead. That way I can go ahead and build my box. Thanks to everyone who responded and/or messaged me.
