Stupid type r question.....

The lil round rubber circle piece that comes with the type r's is it necessary to use to keep air out i guess thats what its for? I have to 12's im about to install and lost one of them somewhere in my house somehow. If it is needed where can i pick one up at?

you don't need them. There just to make the sub look nicer without the rigid circular and screws .......
