What type of amp would I need to run 2 hx2 12's?I have two pairs of the HX2's ( 1 power , 1 punch ) 3 are sitting in the closet . One of the punch has been in my brothers car for three years or so now , in 3cuft tuned to 30hz. Powered by a bd1000 at 2ohm. Too much for my old arse //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I like the punch hx2's now , but I would take some punch audiophile 12's over them anyday of the week . IMO the most musical line of subs fosgate has produced in the past 15 years. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gifpunch or power. the punch hx2 in my opinion was the best sub fosgate has ever made. if using 2 of these i would use a bd1000 or if on a budget a profile ap2000.
its not weak, it just takes less power, but will be more than enough for you with 2 an about 1200-1400 to emWell isnt Punch hx2 a weaker sub?
I'm looking for a amp that would power 2 of these with no problemPunch You would be safe with something anywhere from 400-650 watts per sub depending on the enclosure . So around 1000-1200w RMS at what ever your final impedance is //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
Power
Mo power //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif They will take 1000w RMS daily . Not the most musical sub by any means , but they weren't intended to be either . For competition burps ......... a lot more depending upon several other factors //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
