Well I gotta say I thought my system sounded good, but then I read something on here about incorrect sub wiring. So I decided to take out the sub and look at the wiring, it was set to 8 ohms //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crying.gif.ec0ebefe590df0251476573bc49e46d8.gif . So I set it to 2 and it sounds so much better. The sub actually moves now. But my headlights dim too lol. So my question is do I upgrade the battery first, or just do the big 3. Money is limited so give me your opinions.

i would upgrade the big3 first. battery mucho expensive compared to the 3

with only 600w? lights dimming isnt really a problem, voltage is the problem and i wouldnt and unless its under 12v you shouldnt have to worry about anything

im running 600 rms watts n my lights dim also and voltage while driving is consistantly between 13.1-13.7

sorry for thread jacking but how would i do a big three on a 2001 cavy coupe also what type of wire would i need to use and how can i switch the battery terminal its like a little screw

i did the big 3 and my lights look like morris code. people will be flashing their brights thinking im flashing mine. i notice when bumping loud i get 3 miles less a gallon

Typically, AFAIK, a higher impedance yeilds greater quality in sound. Of course this can't be true across the board, but you'll notice an amp is 0.1% THD @ 4 ohms, 0.5%THD @ 1.

At absolute minimum, upgrade your battery to chassis ground with a nice fat piece of wire.

Big 3, if that works , no need for the batterry.
