Heres the deal, I have a 1995 lincoln towncar with a nice size trunk. Right now, I have 2 12'' vegas & a ppi 2125 comp amp. These are in a SUBZONE box.

This set up sounds nice, But Im ready to upgrade to a better head unit . AND I want to change out the VEGAS & get 2 STROKERS.

Does any one know if I will be able to just put the Strokers in the same box that I have the vegas in or will i need a new box??

My Husband says that 2 Strokers wont sound good in my car, & he is trying to talk me out of it, but I wanted to check with you guys first.

And im gettin THE HOOK UP DEAL on these Strokers!!!! (NEW)..... So Whatdaya think?? I would also LOVE to Come to a Competion & see what goes on, o.k maybe Im a little bit competitive.

Some one hook me up with some info on how to get there Thanks I have the 12'' box

Dual 12" Vented 3/4" MDF Box w/ 1.5" Baffle - 1.9cf per sub

15 1/2"h x 18 1/4"d x 34"w.

I have the 12'' Box.... here is the info on that box.built with 3/4" MDF (medium density fiberwood). Each vented enclosure is tuned to a particular frequency using the rectangular port, which is acoustically coupled to each other through the center vent configuration. 12": 38Hz, . Dual 12" Vented 3/4" MDF Box w/ 1.5" Baffle - 1.9cf per sub

15 1/2"h x 18 1/4"d x 34"w

Ok, 1.5 cubes don't seem a whole lot of space for them strokers, and if you want to compete, you need a much larger box to get it REALLY loud.

I geuss for listening, it woul suffice, although I can't imagine why anyone would want more than one for daily driving.

Building a box is easy enough. Make one yorself, or get your hubby to make you one. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif If all esle fails, there are epopel here who makes boxes for a living, who can make REALLY loud boxes for comps, or suited for whatever you desire..

Strokers = frickin' loud!!!

Not for everyday use though. I prefer them for competition purposes only as they get loud as stink, but are mainly suited for burping with high wattage. And if you end up getting them anyways, put them in a much bigger box. 1.9 cuft each isn't enough for them.

Good subs though. I have always been a fan of cerwin. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

jimmyslide.....do your freakin' homework before running your freakin' mouth again.....the subs were made for freakin' SQ but tend to get freakin' loud....there not freakin' spl subs....

O.k well I guess Ill stick with the vegas that I have. I have like a small competitve thing going on with a friend of mine. He has two 15'' speakers in his crown vic & he swears they can"Out Quad Mine" so i wanted to drop it on him. He has some genric subs he bougt on ebay.. I dont remember the name.

Im not sure if my 2 12" vegas have anything on 2 15''s though... even generic I still want to go too some of these competions. Where do I get the info??

on every stroker, there is a metal rod in the center. it is to adjust the resting postion of the subs, i think. don't tweak it, no matter how tempted you are. if you're buying second hand, cahcnes are, someone's already done it. :p

regardless, you'll still beat your friend with half the volume.

I mean i want to beat him, & most folks I run in to where im at. but I also want to be able to listen to it daily. it is really just me, & a bunch of friends but dang, I wanna have the system that spanks tail!! Isnt there a way that I can control the bass for daily driving & maybe turn it on when I want to Show off??? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
