Sure am. I'm looking forward to the weather. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

you also must remember that street c is a whole different world from street a.
2 batteries and 4 amps are allowed. Street a is only one battery and one amp.

One on one the 3000d wouldn't compare to something in the 5-7kw range for obvious reasons. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
Of course it won't compete with the huge amps - I'm just saying the 3000D does pretty good //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Terry and Ray did test one battery - there was a post with a good bit of testing on Termpro but their search sucks so I can't find it.

If they are only allowing a single amp I can certainly see looking for a huge one... kind of a silly rule set for Street making these enormous amps necessary but that is another thread //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Also, sundownz, I would take a 3500D if you can do a trade in for my IA 20.1. And ad whatever cash is needed. I can deal with a loud Daily Driver for another year i guess. I might go to a few comps, but truth be told, i have a shit car for comps. Nor do i have 1200 to buy a big amp.
We can take that in on credit - just shoot me an e-mail.

Well im considering getting an RD 7500.1. Same board as the cactus 7k, atomic 7k. But i would have to pay in payments. But its BNIB for 1000.
That will be the best bang for buck. I also saw a DD Z1a for $800 shipped and that would be even better bang for buck. I know the 4k2d used would be very good to.

What kinda price tag am i looking at for the 4k2d. Ik that was one of my original thoughts. Something that i could run daily without a massive batt bank in the trunk. Yet still do ok in Comps.

All tested at Db drag finals last year.

Battery single NSB75, voltage drop from 10.3-.10.8v

Stetsom 4k2d 3700w

Stetsom 10k 12v competition 4300w

CS 7kw 5000w

AB1000.1 5500w

And all those amps cost over double the 4k2d. And you can ask Ray Farmer to confirm these test. My point is 4k2d is good bang for the buck for a 1db difference in power for less then half the cost of the best amps you can get.
