But does he have a good enough battery to make a decent amount of power out of those amps? For street a you are going to need something very efficient. Honestly I dont see $700 getting you in the ball park. I would hold out and keep saving and get what you need for around $1200 and that is still on the cheap side.
You really need this

or this to be competitive

Ask Ray Farmer and Terry Brocks about it - the SAZ-3000D was extremely close to Terry's Cyclops and the 3500D will do more than the 3000D.Yea but sundown doesnt make a big enough amp for street a. At 12volts i bett that sundown would be lucky to put out 3000watts.
Any of those will work, the key is getting the most from a 650 cubic inch battery. The top North American competitors are making in the neighborhood of 5k on a single battery. Just some food for thought.Yea, efficient like a Cactus 5k-7k, DDz1a, Stetsom 7kd/4k2d, All of which can be found used for around 700-1000
well i would be happy with your Z1a. You still got it?no offence to the other amplifiers, there is only a selct few amps thatare really the choice to have in Street A.
Bottom line is, if you're looking to go full force in Street A then you'll need to go with a 7K + amplifier... no ifs and or butts... However that is also dependant on how serious you are about competing.
well i would be happy with your Z1a. You still got it?
Also, sundownz, I would take a 3500D if you can do a trade in for my IA 20.1. And ad whatever cash is needed. I can deal with a loud Daily Driver for another year i guess. I might go to a few comps, but truth be told, i have a shit car for comps. Nor do i have 1200 to buy a big amp.
you also must remember that street c is a whole different world from street a.Ask Ray Farmer and Terry Brocks about it - the SAZ-3000D was extremely close to Terry's Cyclops and the 3500D will do more than the 3000D.
One on one the 3000d wouldn't compare to something in the 5-7kw range for obvious reasons. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
