Strapping amps

Hey all,

Dumb arse question coming up...

I know I can strap another Kicker KX400.1 to my existing KX400.1,what I need to know is mines rated at 500wrms on the birth cert,the other 460(looking to buy),now by powers of deduction,would this make each amp run at 480 when strapped???

please dont point out the obvious like Ive got more power than stated on the box i.e KX400.1 mono rah,rah and birth cert says 500,thats the reason I bought the 1st one,and its strapping ability for extra amps and size,looks,previous owner more than flexible,etc etc.

Keeping with the same amps makes it easier for the sub control gizmo on the dash and install look too.
