If you look at the box it says 1200, but somewhere else it's printed as 1,000 watts @ 2ohms rms

some of MAs amps are rated at 17 volts, not 14.4, take a look at that first. if its rated at 17v you wont get that much power on a 14.4v system.

just take the total amp fuse rateing and times it by the voltage supplied and youll get your wattage the amp can put out.

40a + 40a = 80amps 80amps x 12.6volts = 1008 watts

ah an educated man sweet, but take a amp that boasts 1000 watts max and has a 40 amp fuse, P=IxE so 40 x say 13.0 volts = 520 watts max. right?

Actually, that rating is usually only good for 4 ohms. I'm sure somewhere in here, there is someone getting more watts than what the fuse*10 rating applies to. Yeah, to counter for efficiency, don't do 12, 13, or 14, us just 10.

somethings wrong with the way you figure power of a amp by its fuses x the voltage..it doesnt add up..i have several amps 150rmsx2, with 30a fuses......i have a couple 100rmsx2 with a 25a fuses.....
