Strapping Amps....what will be the final load?

Ok ok...soo lets say the setup

4 SS PCA2000 on 2 12 FI BTLs

Soo lets say i get the Dual 2dvc and i wanna strap 2 amps on each.

Now if i have 1 amp and wire it parrellel i will get a 1ohm final load.

What if i wire it parellel and have two amps strapped to it...what will each amp see.... .5ohm?

And what power will they put out...if strapped with sub in series will they see a 1ohm load but put out more than if they werent strapped(as if just 1 amp normally at 1ohm)?

So more than the 2000watts@1ohm its rated at normally?

Basically, does a strapped amp seeing a 1ohm load put out more than a single amp at a 1ohm load?

Thanks...any info i can get...or anything im skipping over let me know?

If anyone has time to chat hit me up AIM: DatdudeBL ....im sure ill have more questions as the answers come in.

I think ,someone please correct me if I'm wrong

If you strap two amps, run each at 1 ohm you will see a 2 ohm load on the pair. You can't run two amps that are 1 ohm stable together at 1 ohm,

If you need a 1 ohm final load, make sure the amps are .5 ohm stable.

it is a similar concept to bridging. in short, each amp in a bridged connection will see 1/2 of the load impedance. running two amps with 1ohm loads would be the same as strapping the same two amps to a 2ohm load.

Sooo hmmm....looks like getting a Dual 1 and running 1 to each coil would be the best bet?

8k should get the 2 12s moving huh?

Hoping to touch over 150s not by much but just a lil.

BTL's aren't dual 1 and 2 just remember that. The Dual 2's are actually dual 1.4 and the 1's are .7. so strappin two amps to the "d2" at "1ohm" would give you a .35 load to each amp.
Yeh well strapping is out the window...but hopefully with box rise and what not itll be closer to 1ohm....why are the BTLs like that?

They do that on purpose?

yea, they do it as a way to combat box rise, they say dual 2's so when you wire it at 1 ohm, it will actually be lower and with the box rise it will be closer to the 1 ohm you wanted.

RE does it too i believe.

I think they will be fine at .7 ohms just run each coil or get the dual 1.5 and run those the amps won't get as hot but you will not get as much output so its up to u what u want to run if your just burpping they should be fine at .7 ohms

but strapping them @ 1.4 and running each amp on each coil @ .7 is the same thing, theres no real difference other than making it easier to set teh gains

im lookin into gettin a btl 12 and runnin it off of two hercs straped @.7 so .35 each amp //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif ill see how the hercs like goin below .5 daily
