so i tried to strap 2 kole audio q1-3000d amps to push 2 05 15" RE xxx, i had them with 1 of the amps at .5 ohm and they sounded great, but f*** it more power would be nicer and since i allready have the 2 of them //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif,

(electrical:two c&d on the back one yellow top on front)

based on this it pulls decent power from the two with alectrical.

did not get any sound from the amps and the Master one was with the on and protection lights on the other one just power light on.

remove and conect the rj11 cable and something f***kt up, on the slave amp you know tha sound and smell //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/mad.gif.c18f003ab0ef8a0d9c27ca78d77a6392.gif, the i connected every thint to normal only using the master on and whas ok.

what did i did wrong????,

havent tried the fu** up amp to se if it works or just the strapp function of it whas damaged!!!!!

If you haven't changed the wiring of the subs your are running the amps at .25 ohms. they are only stable to 1 ohm as it is .25 ohm is way to low and would send the amp in to protect.

f********k, didnt change my sub set up //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/mad.gif.c18f003ab0ef8a0d9c27ca78d77a6392.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif, ill check that tomorrow, any other sugestions other than that?

I would wire the subs up so at the terminal coming out of the box they are at 2 ohms. when you bridge 2 amps the resistance is split between the two so that would have you running the amps at 1 ohm each.

Buy better equipment

are they both the EXACT same amps, they look different from the pic
They come with a strapping cord new, you need that.
they are the same, just picture angle, problem is that i got them used for a good price //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif,i emailed Kole audio and they told me that any 4 strand patch cable will do.

ok i'll go right away and buy your same setup, jajajajaa //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

I have a Kole Audio QX1-3000D and a QX1-2400D and they are the best amps I have ever come across.

The amps I have came with a patch cord to strap them together (with another amp of the same rating) and it says, and I quote,

"This wire is only for bridging this amplifier, not to be worked for telephone"
.
Now I am not saying that you can't use a regular phone wire but it kind of makes me wonder when they say you shouldn't use it for a telephone. I would think it should go either way.

Also, the guys at Kole audio will tell you they are only good to 2 ohms when strapped (because this is putting a 1 ohm load per amp). The paperwork that comes with the amps also states this. When they are strapped, it must be hooked to no less than a 2 ohm load.

If you have two subs with 2 ohm dual voice coils you can achieve the 2 ohm rating or 4 subs with dual 4 ohm voice coils, etc. .

These amps are awesome if you stick to the ohm ratings. I have my 3000 pushing one of their 15" subs (the KMX series) and it handles it with no problems.

If anyone runs across a 2400D they want to get rid of, let me know.

just tested both amps and they are working fine now i am worried about the patch cord that i am using.

gmltwc can you take a picture of your patch cable?? just for reference to check if its the same as mine or to make one

i can get you a QX1-2400D used for 150dlls or a QX1-3000D for 200dlls

Even a basic TL072 will do this function just fine. LoL. The joys of comparators!

How I would approach it is install your new amplifier and start using it. Install a voltage gauge and if you see your voltage lowering then add...

Additinally, no need to reference "max" anything as those specs are useless. Most of know how to look at specs for a given speaker, amp, HU, etc...
