I have a Kole Audio QX1-3000D and a QX1-2400D and they are the best amps I have ever come across. The amps I have came with a patch cord to strap them together (with another amp of the same rating) and it says, and I quote, . Now I am not saying that you can't use a regular phone wire but it kind of makes me wonder when they say you shouldn't use it for a telephone. I would think it should go either way. Also, the guys at Kole audio will tell you they are only good to 2 ohms when strapped (because this is putting a 1 ohm load per amp). The paperwork that comes with the amps also states this. When they are strapped, it must be hooked to no less than a 2 ohm load. If you have two subs with 2 ohm dual voice coils you can achieve the 2 ohm rating or 4 subs with dual 4 ohm voice coils, etc. . These amps are awesome if you stick to the ohm ratings. I have my 3000 pushing one of their 15" subs (the KMX series) and it handles it with no problems. If anyone runs across a 2400D they want to get rid of, let me know. Gary
