Strapable 1Kw rms mono amps @ 1ohm?

4 subs - Dual 4ohm VC's. 500w rms per sub. 2000w rms total. All 4 wired together would drop to half an ohm. Not ideal. So the idea of twin 1ohm 1000w rms amps comes up. I like this idea as 1000w amps are more easily obtained financially. So what would be the best suggestion for a linkable amp that would automatically mimic the settings on the main/master amp?

Your going to have box rise so why not go bigger on an amp that wires to .5? Doesn’t the taramps bass series wire down to .5? Maybe a 3k?

You have many .5 and 2 ohm options from Taramps.
Bass line at .5
Md line at 2 ohms.

Taramps Md 1800.1 2 ohm version cheaper than two 1000 rms amps. Dont strap, too many downsides in phase, rise, strain on the slave amp etc... Strapping is just garbage.

Dont strap, gain match instead or find something .5ohm stable or higher power 2 ohm rating

Ok. Cost is the main reason for not wanting to get a huge single channel amp but I recon sometimes you just gotta do it. Plus, all the "linkable" amps I looked at were 1 ohm stable but not when strapped. They were only two ohm stable. I am sure there are reasons for it. So... Taramps huh? Then we are looking for 2000w @ 2ohm. Let me go see what they offer. Thanks guys.
