I have a Rockford Fosgate amp that i have connceted to two 4ohm sony Xplods (total 2 ohm load) when i first tried connecting the speakers (one of left channel one on right) the speaker ont he right channel started smoking. i disconnected that and tried connecting it to the left channel and it worked fine. I know its not my signal RCA cables, because it ried switched the left and right inputs and that did nothing (still problem on the right). I should probbaly say that when i connect the speaker i'm getting a fairly large spark from the terminal. I think there's some kind of current going through it.
The person i purchased the amp from said it was working fine, but that he had it stored for 6 months. I took it apart, and didn't see anything blown. The amp says bridged between the right and left channels (i thought it meant that they were bridged), but if that were the case the left would be doing that too, so i know theyre not.
I'm confused.
