None to you either.
Where to start. This is the same arguement made in every discussion of every fast car ever in the history of forever and ever.
How about I get a Fiero for, eh, $2000. Then let's get an LS1 with the 6 speed transmission (I don't know if it fits, but I do know they are Fiero conversion owners running 350s on the stock *****, so it's irrelevant), available on
Ebay for $4500. That's $6500... then you take that $20K ($20-25K) you saved over buying a Cobra and take it to XYZ tuner... I'll still have more than enough left over for a Dalmatian paint job and 20" spinners.
You can make that argument about any car, and it really holds no weight. And find me a hand-grenade engined tuner car that is "reliable" in the sense of a stock car.
You make a comment about a turbo system making 900 horsepower... then make a claim followed by "minus the turbos". No, it's not true. When you change engine components (Which would be required to go from running 14 seconds to running 9 seconds. Yes, it's true...), it's no longer a "stock" engine.
