Stock Z06 Runs 10's

c6=6.2 L engine, steel framez06=7 L engine, dry sump, aluminum frame, titanium connecting rods.

I'm sure there are more differences but I'm far from a guru.
'C6' is actually just an era. Like '1G' DSM or 'MKIV' Supra. It's not a model type. Just means that the Corvette was made in the years 2006 - Present. (Yes, they were made in 2005, but sold as 2006 models for anyone that wants to get technical.)

SVT Cobra arent no joke really either....but not in same league as Corvette...hell the only one that stands to be ok to compare is the Ford GT in Fords lineup....i think they might run 10s fairly easy if i remember correctly

The Z06 has an aluminum frame, differing body work, carbon fiber body pieces, a 427, different suspension, etc.

No offense to the vette lovers but I own a fox mustang and would like to get a 03-04 cobra. What did u mean by get beat? Being a Chevrolet man U probably didn't or don't know much about the terminator 4.6's that they used in those cars do you? Just off hand how much $$ would u save going with the mustang over the Z06, I'll say roughly 10K. Take that extra 10K straight to Hellion power systems and get the twin turbo system for 5K and you'd have your self a reliable 850-900hp on pump gas. To me it sounds like u beat yourself......Because that will get u deep into the 9's with a stock motor minus the turbos. Yes it's true...

Just cuz you have 900hp doesnt mean youll run 9s.....takes a ton of other stuff to put the 900hp to a useable power..suspension,******,tires, etc

How about I get a Fiero for, eh, $2000. Then let's get an LS1 with the 6 speed transmission (I don't know if it fits, but I do know they are Fiero conversion owners running 350s on the stock *****, so it's irrelevant), available on Ebay for $4500. That's $6500... then you take that $20K ($20-25K) you saved over buying a Cobra and take it to XYZ tuner... I'll still have more than enough left over for a Dalmatian paint job and 20" spinners.

You can make that argument about any car, and it really holds no weight. And find me a hand-grenade engined tuner car that is "reliable" in the sense of a stock car.

You make a comment about a turbo system making 900 horsepower... then make a claim followed by "minus the turbos". No, it's not true. When you change engine components (Which would be required to go from running 14 seconds to running 9 seconds. Yes, it's true...), it's no longer a "stock" engine.

Heres a thought, dumbshit. The GT500 and Z06 have roughly the same amount of power. The Stang cant hold a candle in a wind to the Vette. Wouldn't matter if it had 1200hp, still couldn't compete. Could it run the vette on a strip? Sure, so could a civic with 900hp.

What are you fucking proving? 1320 times quit being a measure of a cars performance 40 years ago. Dumbasses like you got left behind. Your drag strip times are a relic of the past. Thats the closest thing the mustang camp has to C6 competition. Probably because it had a chance at life outside the Flat Rock walls. w00t for a solid rear.

My friends actually got a Fiero with the 350 conversion and Finalle conversion. 450hp

I'd be willing to guess that the 03-04 cobra would be better competition than the gt500. The solid rear axle just kind of screws it over on the track imo.
