Stock Z06 Runs 10's

My friends actually got a Fiero with the 350 conversion and Finalle conversion. 450hp
Do you have pictures? My friend wanted that body kit, then his car died on him. Is it as awkward in real life as it looks in the pictures, or does it actually work? I bet it's pretty **** quick.

Also of note, I'd like to point out the 03 Cobra with a measly 390 horsepower can run door to door with the 500 horsepower GT500.

I'd be willing to guess that the 03-04 cobra would be better competition than the gt500. The solid rear axle just kind of screws it over on the track imo.
In all honesty i dont think the suspension on the last gen cobra was all that impressive, although it was independent. Probably had more potential though. I dont think they were quite as front heavy though.

I dont. IIRC its one of the fastest fiero's around. Its a candy apple green paintjob. Honestly i wouldn't recommend the kit. He had to do a ton of fab work for it. Its definitely for someone with plenty of experience who doesn't mind dedicating LOTS of time to it and its maintenance.

As far as acceleration goes, its amazingly fast. Probably one of the fastest vehicles i've been in 0-60 Its also a great track car but only for more talented drivers as most the weight is in the back so steering under full throttle isn't much of an option. It can also get a bit squirrelly.

One thing to note is that the ****** is the weak link and there isn't a whole lot in the way of alternatives. The 3.8 supercharged regal engine is a good choice as well.

'C6' is actually just an era. Like '1G' DSM or 'MKIV' Supra. It's not a model type. Just means that the Corvette was made in the years 2006 - Present. (Yes, they were made in 2005, but sold as 2006 models for anyone that wants to get technical.)

I don't see what you're trying to prove, lol. I wasn't talking about names, I was talking about the components/materials the two cars (C6 and c6 z06) are made of. There are significant differences. We agree to disagree I guess, lol.

And I bet it must be loud as hell, with that engine RIGHT behind you. I wanted my friend Mark to put a 3800 in his Formula... then he crashed it...

c6=6.2 L engine, steel framez06=7 L engine, dry sump, aluminum frame, titanium connecting rods.

I'm sure there are more differences but I'm far from a guru.

You didn't specify "C6 Z06" originally, which is where the names came into play. He was just saying the C6 is a classification for the model years / body style, as opposed to a reference to the base (read non-Z06) Corvette.

Yehhh he didnt say c6 z06 in the orignal....i agree with u

Made it seem like c6 and z06 were like 2 diffeerent things or something to compare

Shoulda said base and z06

Its actually not horrible. But loud enough that it would negate any purpose a stereo system might serve. Which is probably why he doesn't have one in it. Its set up with a usb cable coming out of the armrest for the ECU though, which is pretty neat. The exhaust system itself is really interesting. He did all the tubing himself with the exhaust tubing and and a tig welder. The exhaust system itself is completely mounted to the block so when the engine rotates on take off or during shifting due to torque you can see the two exhaust tips dip down a few inches.

You make a comment about a turbo system making 900 horsepower... then make a claim followed by "minus the turbos". No, it's not true. When you change engine components (Which would be required to go from running 14 seconds to running 9 seconds. Yes, it's true...), it's no longer a "stock" engine.
Meaning that you don't have to build up the motor i.e. Forged Crank, rod, pistons to handle the extra boost because they came from ford bullet proof

The USB port idea sounds cool, not to mention torque affecting your exhaust is cool.

It is pretty neat, although i dont think thats the reason he did it. I will try to get some pictures next time he comes into town.
I'm sure it isn't. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Pictures would be great, I'm trying to imagine that car in green...
