Stock wiring or not?

Hey guys I am installing a new set of door speakers in my 2000 honda accord. I am thinking of running new wire to the new speakers because they will be running on 55w rms, replacing speakers that were running on roughly 30 watts. The amp is in the trunk and I currently have 14 gauge wire running from that to the stock wiring behind the headunit. Should I take the time and hassle to replace the wire or will I not even notice a difference (that is what I am hoping you guys tell me...)?

Thanks in advance.

I would say screw it just leave the stock in there especially if you have 14 ran to the back of the head unit. That extra 4 or 5 feet of smaller wire wont hurt you that much. If you do move up in power how ever to like 100 watts then yes swap it out

Thats exactly what I wanted to hear. And yes, it does have rear deck speakers, why do you ask?
b/c it says you ran speaker wire all the way from the amp to the back of the HU. you could have just jumped the wires behind the head unit ran speaker wire from the rear deck speaker connectors to the amp and directly from the speakers to the amp.

This is true, guess I never thought of that. Now I am using those rear speakers off of headunit power for rear fill, but that would have made my earlier installation simpler. I guess thats why you guys are the experts.

Thanks guys!
