Stinky after recone?

It's probably the amp, Not sure what though. Do you have another amp you could test out on them
its gotta be. and no, i only have one amp //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif besides my component amp

If it's dropping low it's never a good thing

i haven't even checked it yet, i'm about to go do that

....and the subs start to go bonkers. I unplug my ipod, but they don't stop...
Hmm... the only time I've ever seen a sub go "bonkers" is when their put to a wall socket

...suggestions?
Try and describe any noises/smells with detail.

Might as well take the cover off your amp and visually inspect the board, do the same with the subs and provide pictures if anything looks out of the ordinary.......and try to use big kid words from now on;)

The sub that didnt have any screw holes put in it yet was the one I reconed. I made a whole thread on it with pics and a vid.. I ran 900 watts to that thing free-air and I didnt get any smell whatsoever from it.. BUT those subs have been mentioned before that they really dont like alot of power... I had one running off of a ab 150.1 and it heated up alot quicker then any of my other subs I ran.... Also my other buddy had one on a IA 40.1 and he did a demo for me and after a minute of play time that sub was hot as hell and stunk bad...

here are a few pics of the coil on one of your subs when I reconed it... Looking at them now are they darker or are they about the same?

i burned the coils a bit because i wired them out of phase...because i'm an idiot. So what is the problem now? I've even got the gain turned WAYY down and it does the exact same thing.

The subs pump up and down without music, and it sounds REALLY bad. Doesn't matter what the gain is at, it does it at the same volume (the noise the sound makes not the volume on the head unit)

well if you toasted your voice coils then your gonna need a recone again. and you should probably stop turning your shit on or it might **** up your amp too.
