Stinky after recone?

So the DP's are in, and sound GREAT.

But when i turn it up for any length of time, they smell. I mean I could turn it up for 3 seconds and i can already smell this horrible stench. I've done recones before, but i don't remember them smelling this much after. Neither of these have seen power since they got recones.

Please tell me this is the glue. There's no way I could be over powering it. The two on are on a Fusion 4000d @ 2 ohms.

I get some mild stinky when breaking them in but it don't last long.

literally put them in like 20 minutes ago. Turned it up for about 5 seconds...stink...I'm kind of scared since they are inverted that the cone is rubbing against the wood, but i sanded the shit our of it so it wouldn't hurt it. I think lilmaniac did one of the recones, and someone at IA did the other. One of them hadn't even been mounted since it got the recone.

Being inverted it may stink more so than coming from inside the box I would think.

^No try looking at the actual coil...Not sure on death penaltys but maybe you can see them
