Fort if you read the thread. I compared strictly metal wire. The jacket wasnt included. The size of the actual wire is the same, the jacket on the Scosche is thicker than the jacket on the Stinger.

wrong. stinger has more strands and power wire isnt sheilded. more strands = more current.

No, not true. If the cross section of the wire is the same the current carrying capabilities of the wires will be extremely similar regardless of strand count.

If I remember right I'm 99% sure that the scosche is CCA instead of pure copper. Thats why its that cheap. I promise.....its fair wire, but the stringer will run more current

Stinger Pro Series 4 gauge is 1666 Strands of OFC, Cant find the rating for the Scosche wire.

Civicman I couldnt find it either.

The wiring is silver in color.

i can pretty much guarantee you that schosche wire isnt worth a ****. I had a 20ft run of it once that i used and a 15 ft roll of rockford 12g speaker wire was heavier //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

I have about 18 feet of the Scosche stuff and a 21 foot run of the Stinger. They seem pretty close in weight. The Scosche may be made of heavier wire material though.
