the voltage is 14v while it goes into protect or right before/after. Does it stay in protect or only come back on when you turn it down

check the wiring on the sub terminals, maybe it could be that you didnt have a good connection and only one VC is hooked up

it sounds like you are clipping. when the car is turned on, and the sub is at or around 35 is the voltage still at 14?

well the clipping indicator doesnt turn on on the bass knob, but for your question, its a little less...

sorry, I just don't want to blab when I honestly don't know...
Did you set the gains properly? Only experience I have ever had with an amp going into protect was a blown sub once and then a voltage drop once...

ok, just wondering, to wire a d2 sub to one ohm, you take a wire and connect the + to the + then another wire - to -. then you take the positive and negative of one terminal dock and connect it to the amp....???

if its going into protect it sounds like it would likely be the ground, where is the ground? is the metal around the ground paint free bare metal?

trust me man, the ground is good. i sanded the paint and its bare.

0gauge throughout the car. and 12 gauge for the sub

got an extra pair of rcas laying around? id try another pair real fast just to rule those out for sure.
