This is a design for a Alpine SWR-1222D that I made for a friend, but can be used for a shit load of other 12" subs out there. I've included the exact cuts that need to be made on a 4'x8' sheet of 3/4"mdf.

I decided to make this post because I've noticed that everyone says" just do a 2.4 at 35hz blah blah blah and most people don't have any idea where to start. I hope this helps some of the noobs out that are looking for a good box design around 3 cubes @ 30hz.

Hey you gotta admit it's a **** good way to get people to view the thread //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

I'll remove the sticky if you guys think it's needed, but this post will get pushed to page 2 in a couple days anyways so why bother.

Although I havn't seen a post yet that really breaks it down as much as this for the less talented box makers.

Oh ya post up some links to other good box designs in this thread, I'd like to see them. Thanks!

i got a way to have perfect cutsheet layouts for the pieces. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gifhttp://www.dropshots.com/photos/64123/20060130/111244.jpg
Nice, at first I thought it was my for my desgin of 33 wide x 14 tall x 19.25 deep, but noticed it was 34x31x16 and was thinking omfg if it is I'm gonna be pissed cuz I took a good amount of time drawing out my design to make it fit, but regardless thats a good cutsheet layout for a similar design.

i can do ur exact dimensions, but im too tired right now.

btw, the way i do it is great for huge enclosures. Because huge enclosure has alot of big pieces and small pieces, gets kinda challenging. But it takes me a couple minutes to do it all.

3 cubes sounds quite big for a 12". a type r especially. imo
It's actually gonna be a lil less because Im doing a double front on it so I'd say about 2.87 or so, which is still over the popular 2.5 @ 32hz you see alot of people doing. I've seen some people do 3.8 cubes and they say it sounds amazing. who knows?
