Stetsom Amps

How do these amps perform?.... pros and cons....i was looking to get one soon to power 4 hdc3s..... is there a better alternative to these?...thank you
There are always haters no matter what company you refer to. IMO Stetsom is a great solution especially in consderation of size and efficiency. As for alternitives, that is dependent on only you definition of your perfect amp. There are so many variables the answer is unanswerable. I customer service is key, Sundown is you company, if size is important, Stetsom is the company for you, if price is the defining issue, AQ is a reliable choice.

I hope that helps a bit

Search around on here (if it's working) and you'll find a TON of threads about this very question. I myself, have had my Stetosm 4k2d for almost 2 years now, and that's about the longest I've ever kept a piece of CA equipment in the last 4 or so years.

If you search my threads, you'll find where I clamped my 4k2d and got 3K+ at 4.xx ohms. No bullshit, and they do rated or more. They're small as can be, and with the exception of the "slight" fan noise, you can't go wrong.

It's safe to say that it'd be hard for me to part with mine, even for what I paid for it.

i tried a 4k2 wired to 2ohms and my 3250 at .5 ohms and the 3250 was 1.5 db louder but i didnt have a clamp so i dunno what actually power was. and the box pretty much sucked either way lol. it was way to big, and they dont like over 15v

imp rise...

not a very scientific test, IMO

yeah i know. i would have liked to wire the stetsom to to 1ohm, but i was using 2 15" d2 subs, but then again i think i did have my 15" hw d2 at the time i coulda have probly do the 3250 at 1ohm and the 4k2 at 1ohm

X2

Would also say that the lack of remote knob is tough but they get stupid loud in a small package. Build quality looks pretty scary but they definitely do what they claim.

ya i definitely agree with kmanian... thats exactly my conclusion on all those amps..... i have an aq 3500d now and its loud but that stetsom sounds wicked....would a 7k2 be a great choice for daily play?

If you want to beat the hell out of those AQ's and you have the electrical to back it up, hell yea! I want to see some video when you do it

haha ill try to get one posted when i do... and i am thinking about putting 2 kinetik hc 2400s in to help power the amp....and would u guys recommend using 1 amp instead of 2 for my woofer set up

i have a 1k6 d on 2 ed 13av.2 at the moment just cuz i had to see what they would do and personally expierience them since ppl always have something to say and never owned it!

i really like the amp is so small and very powerful! only con is no subsonic filter imo, other than that rock solid!
