Stetsom Amplifiers

I was wondering if anyone was running Stetsom amplifiers in a daily setup and could give me their opinion as to whether they liked them or not? I am seriously considering the Stetsom V 1K5 H 1 Ohm to run on my 13w6v2 because it is tiny and gives me the power I am looking for at 2 ohms.

I mainly want to know if they sound like your typical class D amp of today or the OG class D amplifiers that had brutal power supply switching that seemed to make its way into the bass. Of course, I don't want to waste my time swapping out gear if their amplifiers sound like @ss. I think I would be more upset about making a new amp rack than I would be about paying $450 for the Stetsom.

i love my 14k2d i use it daily and it sounds great. I thought when i got it it wouldnt sound the best in the world but it sounds better then my DD z2 i had. My buddy went from a DD Z2lv to a 14k2d also and he says he likes the stetsom alot more and things that it sounds better than his old amp

you will be impressed with it

A buddy of mine in Texas sealed the deal. He said he saw one clamped and they do the power Stetsom claims. He also stated that it sounded just as good as any other amplifier he's used, and believe me, he's been through just as much gear as I have.

The V 1K5 H 1 Ohm seems to fit the goal I am looking for. 800 to 1000 watts RMS @ 2 ohms in a tiny, efficient package. IMHO, $450 is a steal if you are going to run that bad boy at 1 ohm.

yeah they will do rated and the best part i love about them is they do rated at 12.6v

The only problem i have ever had with mine. Since its cold in IL in the winter when my batterers are charging high when ever i first start my car my amp will go into protect at like 14.8-15v some where in there for to high of voltage.

But on the good side, I know my 14k does it i dont know about your 1k5h but when the amp goes into protect the protect and power light will give you a code and it will tell you why it went into protect. Which i love that feature because i thought my amp was going to blow up.

Yup, Stetsom never failed me

Used the

142kd's,9k2d's,7k2d's( modded), 7k2d, 7kd(18 volt),7kd (modded 12volt), 5k2d,4k2d,2k5d,

Without any problems, once you give them the right voltage they wont fail...

Woo hoo, it arrived!

Too bad it is pouring down rain. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif Yes, I know I have a covered carport... I just hate working on wet concrete.

Looks like I will have to play with it on the bench for now. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

Edit: Here it is with some other amplifiers that I am planning on using in my system rebuild as soon as the weather stabilizes:

I wanted one, but the retailer told me these amps aren't good play chopped and screwed music with because of the hidden 20 Hz. He said it would "rattle the insides apart" don't know how true that is

We got a 2k6D a good while back, when Alan was with them. used it on several daily setups. on a DD3518, DD9518, 6 Memphis 12's.

have had good results with it. The fan can be a little loud but other then that. we never sold any in the shop as the pricing was a bit higher then anyone around us wanted.
