My sony explod stereo does not have any more outputs in the back. is it neccessary to have a signal wire to the amp for the subs? doesnt the amp turn on when the car turns on? I have 2 unused wires from my stereo going to my trunk will those work for as a signal wire or something?

Most amps have speaker-level inputs as well as RCA inputs. You can splice into the rear speakers to go to the subwoofer amp. You will need to run power from the battery, as well as a remote turn-on wire.
