Starting the 2nd stage, looking for advice

There's no way I hurt my subs over powering them.
Burning voice coils say otherwise, but I'm sure you know best.

That 100 amp hour on your batteries means they'll deliver 100 amperes for 1 hour... that's each.... plus whatever under your hood has in reserve. Absolutely plenty capable of putting out enough current to make more than the 1500W continuous power that those coils can hold.

Yes, upgrading alternator isn't a bad idea pretty much ever but that won't fix that you're overpowering your woofers, and the way you burn voice coils is by putting too much power into them period, end of discussion. Can you even define "dirty power" or is this just some crap that somebody on Faceberg said that you think sounds clever?

That's basically what I was trying to say. I didn't know it was making full power tho. I think I'll be alright after the Alternator n getting one of those HU. I'll still have to be careful but I just hope it won't hit clipping lvls as easily.

80 prs if you can, if you cant then jvc 340bts will do just fine and its 80 bucks. I can attest that that JVC will hold its own against the 80 prs for the most part.
As for your electrical, we wont know until you see voltage drops.
Hey Jeff,

Since I'm gonna be getting that DSR-1 it doesn't really matter if I get the $80 JVC HU?

You're running half ohm nominal. You very well should be seeing rated power out of your amp NOW. The "clipping" boogeyman aside 1500W unclipped sine wave will burn up your subs quickly. You will indeed need to be careful.

Hey JeffDaChef, what do you think about this HU, Pioneer DEH-P835R, I found one for like $80 where I live. But I couldn't find the preamp output voltage for it. But it seems like a pretty nice HU.

outdated junk, for 80 i'd get a jvc 340bts. You literally dont want to touch dinosuar products nowadays, they are old fossils with nothing good audiowise.

Thanks, I decided on that JVC anyway, I just seen that on FB market place n figured if it was on par I would just grab that but never mind lol. And I picked up a that Fosgate DSR-1... Was $219... Alot smaller than I imagined it would be. Hopefully it won't take too too long to get everything else together.

Thx for your reply

Edit:

Also I wanted to see what sort of voltage drop I'm getting but am unsure if where to check from either the start battery or do I check at the secondary battery bank b4 the amp? Thx
