Starting on Kick Panels

I just taped my driver side off. Im about to tape off the passenger side and try to get the mold set up before dark. I have about 1.5 - 2.0 hours to do this in. Its going to house my 6.5 MB Quart Premium Mids. Ill have some pictures up later for criticisms, etc.

yea. you definatly want to mount them to the SIDE of the kick, not the floor.

Ok, I got them extended up some, just not a lot. The driver side can only go up so far though because of the E-brake pedal. About how many layers should I do before its able to be pulled out. I just checked and the driver side is pretty dry and the passenger side is almost dry.

i hope you tested with real speakers before you made those to figure out what spot they sound best in...

I did some testing before. If not its just more time and some more time to learn fiberglassing techniques

my brother looks like your going to have trouble aiming them correctly with the reliefs you have there.

Try this

tape up your entire area like your getting ready to glass

start with your rings or baffle ,Which ever you choose

And start the aiming process using wooden dowels and hot glue. Once you get the aiming and positioning right. Then outline the area for your relief casts ( backer plates ) and also mark your dowel positions on the tape as well. Then layup a couple layers of mat. As stated before, that drivers side looks kind of off...

Looks good other then that though, nice job stretching the material.

nice mang, all I need is resin... Lowe's didn't have any, so it looks like I'll be headed to Home Depot soon....

Its some kind of polyester type material I got a WalMart. Pretty cheap and does the job pretty well as it stretches easily.
