I own a 2006 Mustang GT so I am going to warn you of a couple of caveats.
1. Infinity speakers ****! I had a set of four 6x8s (682.7cf) in mine and while they were a slight improvement over stock, they had HARSH highs that were only worse upon adding amplification.

2. The Shaker 500 Door "subwoofers" are phased weird and could cause cancellation with your trunk mounted subwoofer should you try to use them together.

3. The trunk sucks and has an odd opening as well as some odd dimensions. I know of some who built their enclosure in the trunk!

Other than that, the car is fairly easy to work on. PM me your email address and I will send you the instructions on how to disassemble everything.

ETA: Here is an easy way to run a power wire into your Mustang:

1. Remove the fender lining on the passenger side.

2. Locate the wiring harness where the antenna runs in (see orange wire)

3. Cut the rubber nipple off and run your wire on through. You will easily be able to see it on the other side of the firewall:

I was able to squeeze a 1/0 wire through mine with no problems! I forgot where I stole the photos from, but I have to thank that guy for the inspiration. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
Thanks for the tip...I don't remember where under the battery tray I ran my 2 4ga's but it was hell.....I've been wanting to upgrade to a 1/0 in my Saleen and been dreading the job. I'll have to check into that location now....

Any luck with your install? I'm piecing together stuff for my project. You think you have it bad I have a drop top...at least your seats go down lol. MTX makes a decent custom enclosure and it even comes with a free sub. The only two stealth boxes that are prefab is the MTX($200) and the JL($700-$800). I'm going with the MTX since i'll be replacing the sub anyway. I also plan on putting a set of Kicker CVT 8s in the doors to help the sub out when my top is down....here's a pic of the MTX enclosure..it has 1.2 cu ft of usable space

Good luck with your install. Did you use any sound deadener?

That much for simple sealed enclosure? Man I am in the wrong business //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif
The bad part is those are the only option for those of us who don't or can't do a custom box like that. The MTX one isn't bad for $200 shipped w/a sub. I've seen placed charging $500 for it. The killer is that JL stealth box....that's easily almost $800 and not worth it to me. I've never really like JL Audio, so maybe that's my problem. Instead of spending almost 800 for the JL box I'd get the MTX box, paint it to match my car and get a real sub in there and still come out spending a lilttle over half of the price of the JL Audio stealth box. My MTX enclosure should be here by the end of next week. I'm going to do a detailed buildout log when I do my install early January for any of those interested. I haven't really seen a good one for a 'stang.
