Starting a new build

Well, I have world finals next month but after that I am going to build something new for next year. I am still going to use the ranger, but I am putting a fiberglass topper on it so I can cut the back wall out and build into the bed. I don’t know yet if I want to use 2 15" subs, 4 12'' subs or maybe even 2 18'' subs. anyway I want to get some of your opinions, I thought about building this wall with the subs inside firing out of the port, like a band pass type box, I know this is tricky to do. I will be using about 10,000 watts and pretty sure I will be tuned around 70 to 80 Hertz. Every box I have built for this truck has been around 70 to 80, 82 hertz being the highest so far. I still have a lot of research to do yet but all opinions are welcome.

I would deffinitly go for a pair of 18's, since you have plenty of room. A 6th order bandpass might be optimal for your situation, which contains two ported chambers with the drivers concealed between them. Any idea what subs you would like to use?

After thinking all day at work about it, I am sure I am going to use the 2 18" subs for this build, not sure which onesyet but leaning toward the 4 hp. I also think you are right about the bandpass, after I put on the topper, Ill have a lot of room. I do think this is the way to go. There where a few trucks like mine at state that were set up this way and they where getting outstanding #'s

Most people cant, but it depends on who you know, I have an order for them know, just have not paid yet because I still needed time to make up my mind.

I can get these subs no problem.
