No tell em u want smart start. It's 500 which includes install. Depending on ur car us need a bypass which includes everything else. That's 150 installed. Then u download smart start app. Free first year, 30 a year after. Don't buy the 5901 then smart start. It's cheaper and easier to just start from scratch which would be just getting smart start

Again, you can get a cheaper viper system. The 5901 is pricey.

First off u don't need a 5901. But if that's what u want get it brand new of the net for 220.00. Then buy the vsm100 for 250.00 and install it ur self. So be into it all together for 450.00. Also it comes with a free 1yr. And they do have the same thing from autopage. It the autopage 9000 with the c3 cell phone interface. Not out yet tho...

that may or may not be but it won't matter in the long run. there were mp3 players that were as good as, and some better, than the ipod but look at the market. being first and major ad campaigns usually determines who wins.

You can put it in a carburated car as long as it turns right over when you turn the key. If you have to tap the gas pedal when you start it, it is not reccomended.

just out of curiousty, how did u become the only outside source of best buy to carry dei products?

this was only for the first 60 days after snart start was released which was on OCT 14. As of Monday i believe any and all retailers can sell and install them.

listen man. theres no difference at this point between the 5901 and smart start. i just talked to dei rep and he said within the next few months they are making it to where if ur dor gets opened, u see a door open on ur iphone. the alarm goes off so does ur iphone. u go into bestbuy and get the smart start for 499 installed. that doesnt include the bypass, but thats 150, which then includes bypass, key coding, and interface, with install. so ur looking at typically 650 installed out the door. with guarantted lifetime ownership of the car its in. that guy lied to u, or misunderstood.

**** Best Try is raping people on bypass modules.

its possible but would require extra work to install as carburated cars often require getting a little gas while starting. I've seen people rig up actuators to make it work. Is it worth it? No
