So, all four Alpine Type-S are in and they're pretty. However, something in them is just too loud in some songs.. at about the pitch if someone were to be knocking on your door. Perhaps because the 6x9's sounds waves are bouncing off the rear windshield. I'll figure that out at some point.
But, I randomly have an extra few bucks, and working 7 a week is helping out too. So, it's time to buy some stuff. But I'd really appreciate your opinion before I spend any $$. I also have a couple quick questions with each.

As far as I have read, the Dayton is better.. it's a cleaner, more musical type of bass. I don't want a BOOM, I want something to fill in the lows. However, in regards to the amp's that I am looking at, someone had mentioned that a dual 4 ohm will allow me to put out 700rms from the amp, whereas if it is not dual than only 500rms. On the bright side, both subs are rated at 500rms, but headroom would be nice (I think?). Suppose my question would be, is there anything else I should consider / have you heard of either / which would you pick? And any recommendations on box size? I understand that each have a suggested size, but.. I think you guys have better opinions.

500 @ 4ohm x 1... for $99... sweet. I have done some research, and most of the people at DIYMA like Cadence. I also have a 10% off coupon. They are also free shipping. Sounds way too good to be true.
For the coax's:

All 4 coax's are 50rms, so 60 should be plenty. Cheap as hell. Free shipping. Sweet.

Besides the quick question I had about the subs, I could really use your help with the amps. They have been the toughest for me to decipher.
All of the questions relate to the installation. I am fairly certain that I am going to buy at least the mono amp + one of the aforementioned subs. So I need an amp wiring kit. You mentioned don't bother with wiring kits though. What are my other options? Also, the amp's are externally fused. Is this the fuse that most say put as close to the battery as possible, or is it an additional step? The external fuse is in the picture, wasn't quite sure what to make of it.
If I bought 2 amps, what does the installation entail? Can I use the same power line, or do both need to run to the battery separately? Do I have to run speaker wire from the amp to all 4 speakers, or does it just run to the Alpine head unit? I believe that I have 3 preamp jacks, if that matters. My head unit is the Alpine CDA 9886 if that will help answer any questions. I thought that there was a way to connect 2 amps together for the power, but I can't seem to find that again.
Finally, I have also been reading about stiffening caps. Should I get one with how much power I would be drawing?
If installing 2 amps is a lot more complicated than 1, I'd just get a sub/amp to fill in the lows. Sounds like a better idea for a first install.
Thanks for helping me decipher some of this stuff. I read and read, but I am much more of a hands-on learner. However, hands-on is much more expensive... You'd be impressed with my custom mounts (well, probably not) -- it's bad ***. Non-hardening modeling clay works really well, at least so far. Even on 1/4" ABS plastic, for those who care.
Humbly Grateful,
ShaneK
P.S. Give me another few months and I'll be fabricating fiberglass boxes! (it's OK to laugh at me).
