Ssd Help!

Alright guys I don't know if this is a stupid question, I'm kind of new to this still. Friend of mine has me helping him design a box for him. His trunk is reeeall small though. Would it be alright to put a 15"SSD into a 2.5ft^3 box? Specs online say a 3-4 cube box, but we are having trouble trying to figure out how to make that fit. I know it's bad for a sub to have too little airspace, but in this case would it be alright?

is this a sealed or ported box, it will work just the lows are gonna be on the "weak" side, if need be add pollyfill to make up for lost space.

After measuring all and figuring stuff out I think thats as big as we can get out of it. Won't do any bad for the sub though? And how will it affect his sq and spl??

Why not just get a 12 and use that much airspace. Should be perfect.

pollyfill dampens the sound waves inside the box, essinatly slowing them down, this in return makes the sub think the box is bigger, if you do add pollyfill make sure it doesn't block the port, or blow out through the port.

well to be honest IDK, i would have to hear one in a REC. box compared to the one you have, to take a guess though the gut wrenching lows aren't gonna be with much authority.

UMM:eyebrow: i really don't understand the question, pollyfill is what is inside your pillow, it will take up most the space in the box, most ppl recommened about 1lb per CF.

Well that was basically my question haha like how much and all. But I have to i guess stuff the box with it? And 1lb per cf he has or per cf he is off by?

its how much CF he has, you said 2.5cf so around 2lbs would be right.
