SSA Demon 12 new ported box questions

I built another 2.1 @ 33hz box from some scrap I had lying around. Its 7 layer exterior (BC) plywood from Home Depot whatever that means. I did a double mounting baffle. I still prefer the density of MDF the heavier the better imo. I need to listen to it more but it does play rap/metal (Ice Cube, NWA, Metallica, Destruction) with authority though.

MDF is also cheaper, at least is around me. Plywood was 2-3 times the cost for what I paid for 3/4" MDF.

My new box is set at 37HZ 2.5 cubic feet for American Bass TNT-1044s because I listen to rock, metal, some rap and classic. So that HZ was perfect for what I wanted. Now I just gotta wait till next month for the Cab-22 2K amplifier to show up!!

I finally had a chance to get the new box built. After some more research I read that a smaller enclosure would give it some more punch. I ended up at 1.8 cf tuned to 38. I played a couple rap songs with lower notes and a couple metal songs. What a difference. I’m feeling the bass hit a lot more compared to the same volume before and it’s more like individual notes than a long boom that changes frequencies. Thanks everyone for the help

Are you using a Aeroport/round port? What diameter?
