the fact you see movement but little to no output. also, pressing in on one sub helping out the output.

jsut seems to me they aren't playing together.

how are they wired?

Each driver is 4 ohms, wired to a final 2 ohm impedance. Guess I gotta take them out and see if I did wire them wrong.

Ok here's what I did. Took the subs out of the box. Checked my wiring....and it's good. Didn't notice out of phase, or a wire dropped someplace. Saw that it wasn't getting a good seal so I sanded the lifted areas where the mounting screw holes are, put a better seal around them, and screwed the subs back into place. Fired them up....annndd....nothing. Went back to the drawing design, done by Chris Marshall, just to see if I goofed some place and noticed a piece of corner/bracing that I missed during the enclosure build. Would this have any affect on it at all?? The piece goes in the corner near the sub, and has 45 degree angle cuts on each side. And again I pushed on one of the subs inward and still got better sound than if I didn't. I have no idea what's goin on. Now I'm thinkin' it might be the enclosure.

it might be a leaky box, but it still sounds like a phase issue.

have you tried pulling an rca from the amp? sometimes that helps, or if the amp has a phase switch, reverse that.

lastly, one of the subs could be label wrong. you could try reversing the polarity with the sub and see if it helps.

if all that fails, contact mike. he might have a better idea of what could be wrong.

Nope, box is completely sealed, except where the vent is. I know for a fact everything else works, the amp, factory HU, and the factory spkrs. I had my 8w3 hooked up to the amp and sounds really nice. Also switched the phase setting on the amp, and still no change. So.... it's narrowing it down to the subs. I'll try and reverse the polarity on the subs and see what happens. This is really buggin the hell outta me if you know what I mean. I got a huge dissapointment when I first fired them up...expected to hear some big low end. Anyway, if nothing else, guess Mike will be hearing from me really soon.

And this is the final update. I emailed Mike lastnight....long email too explaining my situation. He too suggested the reverse polarity. So went out and removed one of the subs, switched the + and - wires around, fired it up and low and behold, I got some badass 8's finally working!! So...one of the subs was mislabled. These things can put a pair of good 10's maybe even 12's a run for their money. I appreciate all the help you provided. This is def worth looking over. I was going apeshit for awhile.
