I'm looking for a good SQL sub to power with a kicker kx400.1 amp. Price is not an issue and suggestions on what kind of enclosure to use are greatly appreciated.

I wouldn't exactly consider those SQL subs. Moreso SQ subs given their limited displacement.

Are you looking for any particular size? How much room do you have to work with?

I'm leaning more towards a 12". At the moment I have a ported Q-logic box for a 12. I'm going to be installing it into a Honda passport, so space really isn't an issue. I would also consider a 15 assuming there is any that can be powered by such a small amp.

get a jlaudio 13w1v2..it should get loud and handle that power with no problem

if that amp were a Kx600.1, I'd probably reccomend a 12" Avalanche if you can find one..

I had a 12" ID12 running off around 400 rms and i loved it

I had it sealed , not sure bout ported though

x2 on the rl-p. gets loud with little power, and has plenty of room to grow once you can put 1000 watts on it.
