SQ Subwoofer / speakers

In the next year or two I'm getting a brand new car so I've decided to go with a nice SQ set up.

I'm new to the SQ part of car audio so I need help getting a subwoofer and speakers.

I'm on a budget so I was thinking maybe...

JBL

Alpine

Lower end JL

or NVX.

I'm open for all options but I don't know my price range exactly yet but please make it reasonable.

Tantric subs tc subs or even some custom built subs really depends on your budget and power. Speakers as well. I mean you can do some dynaudio components for about $2000-$3000 per set or some phds hertz cdt hat or even focals. But for sq oriented components you'll be spending $500 plus. And you'll want to run active. Which mean a nice active deck or processor And or course the box and rest of the build will have a great impact in the sound quality

Mines started $1400 set of cdt components and tantric subs need to change my amp to an active amp. And a processor to go active. Then done

dayton ultimax or TC sounds epic, those are comparable to JL w6 for half price.

Yeah I knew it was going to be costly but I was going to start building a SPL vehicle but I don't have my jeep anymore and my one DAD BD 12 on my MRX-240 is literally making my focus fall apart lol.. And a SQ build would be more practical in a new car.

I heard nothing but good reviews from Dayton and TC but how are Dayton's speakers sound? They're really cheap but again nothing but good reviews. I understand they aren't going to compare to Morel Hertz or Focal but the price? Also NVX seems to have quality products.. I use their wiring and subs, I love it!

ya for me its cheaper to go spl. so thats what im going for. plus i like loud. but so far its sounding good so i have no complaints.

and im going with 4 - 8" Dayton's and i to have heard nothing but good about them. and the 8"s are going on my doors.

Head unit = pioneer 80prs (active capable and good converters, 5v outs)

Front stage, low end, jbli or infinity... mid level, hertz (my reccomendation) high level, morel

Same as above for rear fill

Sub = hertz hx300d. (Current sub I'm using). Amazing value for the $ ull spend, best sq sub I have personally herd, and doesn't require a huge box or huge power, 4-600 RMS.

Amps = audison/hertz

Processor (if u don't go with the head unit and want to keep ur factory deck) jbli ms8 or audison bit one or bit 10.

Those are my personal reccomendations.... but everyone has diff preferences.

Oim personally in the process of tying to put together a all hertz system, so I'm a bit biased.... but of the companies u listed, I don't feel u could go wrong with jbli speakers and subs....

If you can spend a bit more Hertz is the business as well as JL. More cars win with JL than anything else even though it's cheap for a SQ brand. JL ends up beating Focal and Moral setup all the time. Focus on the processing and front stage, the sub is the least important part of SQ.

JL is what I really want... But would all JL be a winner if designed right?
