10's and 12's can reproduce the same frequencies that 15's can, and vice versa. as long as the subs are built correctly, the only difference woofer size will ever make is in sound pressure level.
tightness of bass via smaller woofer size is a myth, as is lower frequencies can only be reproduced by very large diameter woofers.
