So i think for my next install maybe on my crown vic id like to do a really amazing sq install. however ive found that it isnt very easy finding a lot of information regarding sq setups. Im trying to find information on staging like where speakers should be aimed to obtain the best staging. using multiple speakers front and rear. should you used dedicated speakers mid bass and mid range, are horns better than tweeters would smaller subs deliver more accurate sound and basicly every other piece of valuable information one could use to build an amazing sq setup. Any info or link to info would be appreciated.

what product ru are you going with?
not really thinking of products yet but so far i do have an avic-z2 as my hu and ive always been a fan of the xxx subs. Im looking more for placement opinions.

just dont use horns, no matter what james says he is a liar...although a horn setup could work quite well in a vic with no console
i plan on swapping a mustang or some other dash and console into my car eventually. I dont want it looking anything like a cop car on the inside lol.

awww megalo et tu? lol horns are excellent for sq but it's a matter of how much work your willing to put into the install. crown vics imo would be excellently suited for a horn install. if you want to know about horns just hit up the ID forum.

Cliff notes...

Tweets and mids in the kicks, or horns under the dash and mids in the kicks, dedicated midbass drivers in the door, as large as you are willing to accomodate, all running fully active and with plenty of headroom on each channel of amplification. For horns, you may want to run high efficiency pro-audio drivers to rival the horns' output. For the sub(s), run as much cone area and displacement as you can, infinite baffle. That, along with some fine tuning, would yield a solid SQ setup.

That's a pretty common sq install James. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
For example, Ive been trying to get my similar setup going for 3 vehicles, and almost 10 years now. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif But I am teh suq.
