Okay well im kinda over the whole setting off car alarms thing so I will soon be selling my DD 9515....

I still want a sub stage but I am looking for clean SQ that can still get pretty low with decent loudness.

Anyways as I said in the title the box I currently have is 4.5 cubes after the displacement of the DD @ 35hz with i think 70 inches of port but i can't remember.

I am guessing I am just going to have to get a new box but will any 15's sound good in that amount of space ported?

I have two amps that I could use....

A JBL 14001 which does 1200 @ 4 ohms an 1500 @ 2

Budget is around 3-400

Front stage is some morel tempo 6's on 150 rms

AND

A Orion 2500D which does 2500@ 1 ohm.

Any reccommendations are appreciated and I will be selling my DD maybe box and one of those two amps if anybody is interested!

let me get this right.

1) U want to have a SQ system with 1500 @ 2 or 2500@ 1 ohm for substage?

And how are the front going to keep up with the substage?? if you have any

front speakers or plan on getting the front speakers.

OR

2) U want a SQ sub with 1500 @ 2 or 2500@ 1 ??, but than again you don't have to use all that power for a sub, set the gain right, turn down the bass.

How much u want to spend on the sub? u wanna get 1 or 2 subs. I would get a IDmax make a new box for it feed it around 800w and call it a day

Well i would like to keep the box IF possible.

I added my front stage and budget to the 1st post but im willing to spend 3-400 and I have morel tempo 6's on 150 rms right meow but i am going to upgrade those with the money i get from what i sell.

I dont think you will be able to successfully run a sub at over ~1500 watts and have a SQ system, the front stage would have to be so high that it would actually sound bad (imo).

You might be able to get away with running ~ 1000 TRUE watts rms (meaning it gets close to 1000w rms at ~-5db or so on the hardest hits with a decent front stage.

This is all subjective though and mileage will vary from person to person on what sounds best.

Most definitly man i can dial those bitches down.

You are selling your 9515 to get a "SQ" sub? If, and I mean if, winning at IASCA and having your truck displayed with some of the best "SQ" vehicles in the country at the 2008 SEMA show is good enough to be considered "SQ, then a 9515 is a "SQ" sub. Ask this guy if a 9515 is a "SQ" sub:

You don't need a new sub, you just need to properly tune the one you have and then spend your money on a "SQ" front stage for your ride.

that's what u should do, if ur budget is 3-400 for the subs, save some more money and get the Idmax or 1 IDq's . the IDq is on ur budget but the 4.5 cubes is to big for a single IDmax or a IDq

I will for sure have more money then that after i sell the 9515 and other amp and some other stuff.

Im still deciding though. I still love the loudness and how low it gets but having to reassemble my locks and back latch every month is getting old and I think i am going to get a really really nice comp set and better amp then i have.

Lol and for the time being i could throw some bricks in there

It's your enclosure and tuning, not the sub. I've won with a 9512 (if you consider winning a SQ comp worth anything. Some people don't and I don't blame them).

At the end of the day, it's your money.....

? i have heard those bishes hit sick double pedal stuff with authority. death metal like job for a cowboy, lamb of god, and all shall perish is food for those bishes to eat up. keep it and build a box for cheaper.
