Yeah it was my first comp, i competed in Intermediate Pro 601-up. Im redoing my whle car in time for a show April 23 at Performance Audio. Pics will come.

Pics of your set-up, a list of your set-up, and some descriptions on your tuning and EQ'ing would be nice if you wouldn't mind letting us know. I've been tweaking with my Z6's a few weekends ago, and keep getting them to sound a little better and more centered sounding every time.

My Setup:

Alpine CDA-9855

Alpine Type-R fronts (soon to be JL XR's or ZR, i work at a JL dealer now)

no rear fill

Alpine Type X 12" sub in 3 cubes after displacement tuned to 33hz (soon to be JL W7 8")

Alpine MRD-1005 (soon to be JL 250/1)

Memphis Belle MCD-1300 (running comps on front channels soon to be JL 450/4)

Tuning:

Sub is LP'ed at 63hz gain set at 4v (thanks to my amp link) 2 db of bass boost at 45hz.

Fronts HP'ed at 63hz playing 1 db lower than the sub to make the sub more present in the sound stage.

5 band GEQ on deck: I have no idea what i have it set on right now, just what sounds right to me.

Time Correction:

FL: 1.4ms FR:0.3ms

SUB:0.0ms (as it was my reference point)

I have my time correction set a little more towards the left because I have 80% hearing loss in my left ear, so my setup sounds perfect to me. That is what is holding me back from attempting any SQ competitions. My passengers, however, always say that it sounds like the line of sound is passing over his left shoulder a little bit in the front seat, and my back seat passengers b1tch because the bass overwhelms them in the back.
