I'm looking for a very cheap amp/sub setup geared mostly towards SQ. i have a 12'' box, so just amp and sub is all i need. so really whats a good cheap sub.

The Nakamichi subs that someone was selling on eBay a little while ago are great. I bought a pair of 10's for $80 shipped and they work great.

well i'd like to for sure keep this under 250$ for sub and amp. I've got a JL 12W0 right now and a jensen amp that i got WITH a box from ebay for 60$ shipped. i know i won't get a deal like that again probably, but my bro is wanten a sub so imma prolly give that one to him and upgrade a little bit. so as cheap as possible, but i want it to sound good

how are the infinity kappa perfects? or the kenwood eXcelons?

spend a little time reading here, and you will open up your eyes to more brands than just what you see in crutchfield. I say pick up a used RE SE for $125 or so, get a nice mono amp from the classifieds here for $70-125, and be golden.

An SSA Dcon wouldn't be a bad choice either they only need about 300 watts

how much power does the RE SE need? I had a Fi BL and a kicker zx1500.1 a year ago, sold it cuz my HO alternater wasng HO enough and it broke anyway. decided i don't really need that much boom more for SQ. crutchfield just makes it look so enticing! lol

btw, the box is sealed and about 1.8 ft^3
