ok well i planned on getting a grand cherokee but i finally found the car ive been lookin for for 6 months a 2000 toyota celica gt-s 6 speed manual ohhh baby lol. well the hatch is only like 14 high 29 x 29 or so so not much room i was thinking two 12's or 1 18. I have 2 re HC's right now and a mtx 1501d but im starting over so what would you recommend. choices so far are

1 xxx 18

1 sx 18

2 sx 12's

amp suggestions would help i got a sting 1000 under the hood and i will do big 3 and prolly ho alt.1/0 gauge all around thnx

bump any more suggestions i cant use all 5 cubes if i want a crx box because the last one i built the port was firing towards the back and was about 2 inches from the wall. so i need to let the port have more room any ideas on box plans or anything lol. Who wants pics of the new car i got them but its gonna take someone wanting to see them to get my *** downstairs to the digital camera lol thnx

ya i did have 2 12 hcs in a crx box in a 92 celica hatchback. but heres a different question should i get 2 sx 12''s or 2 xxx 12's id like to stick with one amp. if i have to ill do 2 just diddnt wanna run that much wire. also i could maybe do a pair of 15's thnx for replies

I'd go for a single XXX 12 if I were you. Unless you are going to fiberglass I think you will have trouble fitting the 15 in a proper box back there, let alone an 18. I am also not sure if you have proper space for 2 12 XXX.

Dont forget, sports cars are meant to go fast and handle well. If you load it up with heavy subs, you will degrade both of those sports car properties....

Hatchbacks sound louder than sedans. I had 12's in my rx7, and never liked it. 10s sounded WAY better (hatches tend to get boomy). But i guess its up to you...

Id look into a ported 12. Its a small car it wont take much to fill it with decent sound. Look into something like a Sound Splinter Rl-p 12. The ported box only needs to be in the vacinity of 1.5-1.75 cuft net. That will give you plenty of bass and it wont eat up your whole trunk. Theres tons of options out there just look around.

In all seriousness 15's and 18's maybe a little excessive for the car. I destroyed a celica with a pair of RF Power DVC(old school) 12's with ~1200 watts. The trunk bracing came unglued from the sheet metal, and everything started to get real loose, but this was also a older celica.

You lose what? 1 second?

Bass > one second

If anything, the lardass in the driver seat hinders performance more than anything //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/thumbsupwink.gif.129404938effda6ad9cca39e7f4b58a3.gif
