Just out of curiosity what does putting an 8" cone on a 10" basket do?

more spider, clearance between the cone and spider. can actually have over 2" of throw out of a 8"

and by all rules should be still considered a 8" sub because a dc lvl5 10" with the outer mounting ring is still classified as a 10"...

Corey what kind of spider diameter does it use? I still think a completely vertical 8 basket would work

i used a 8" diameter med spider with a 2.5" 8 layer flat wound alum coil with 2" of ww.
