Splaudio's custom subs thread

Just received my SPL audio RE Audio SE in the mail.
My overall experience with SPLaudio (Corey) has been great. There is nothing better he could have done IMO.

He's very helpful regardless if he thinks you're going to send him a sub or not. Answers any questions and answers them well.

He sent detailed pictures along the whole process of what he was currently doing with my sub. Asked me questions, and rebuilt it according to what I wanted.

The parts seem to be of very high quality, I am especially happy with the tinsels. I just set up the sub in my trunk in a small **** box (havent had time to build one) so I will have to break it in and get a real box before I take any videos or comment on how it is but I can tell its gonna be loud.

I would NOT hesitate to have him recone any of my speakers again, as a matter of fact I am already working out sending in 2 more.

THANK YOU COREY!
told you he wouldnt let you down, i hope to get to see it in person latter this summer if we ever can hook up.

its on an IA 40.1 @ .5 ohm but I already broke it once so I turned it down a bit for willy

didnt quite break, lifted spider lil from 4k on sweeps, lol. :p

play above tunning and beat on it!

It happened on a burp @ 45hz... unless it happened on a sweep and had been broken for a while //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

im sure it did. playing below tunning is like playing freeair and thats ALOT of power no sub would hold up to that.

you get the award for the first person to do any damage to one of my builds besides myself, :p

trust me i know all too well about blowing subs apart . my last installed was 1 10" with 3000rms it took me a few surrond before i found the ones that would hold up to pressure inside the box. the re style, and tc style tall all blew apart on the first burp. the surronds i use now take 3k daily.

Heres my only problem so far. The sub seems to be working fine except for this rattle. Sounds like plastic on plastic to me. I have hardly even turned this thing up yet so its basically still brand new.

Keep in mind this is a sealed box. The only thing I can think of is the box is too small (not sure why it would be causing this rattle, though) I will be building a proper vented one but still at the volume being run I dont see why it is making this noise.

Here is the video. Any ideas?

well thats what I thought but then I remembered I've had two other subs in there (and i was pushing them louder) it didnt make that noise. So I dont think it can be a leaky box

k, where you able to see the video corey? I'm gonna go outside and trying free airing it real quick
WHY THA FACK DO YOU HAVE IT IN A SEALED BOX?????????? Are you trying to blow the sub up? it'll reach full excursion way too fast that's your problem. Port the sub like its supposed to be run.
