SPL sub recomendations

A friend of mine is looking to ditch his old phoenix gold subs which are beating to all hell. he asked me to try and find him 2 12" SPL subs for about $220 for the pair. and since i havnt exactly been keeping up with the latest companies/products i figured id ask for everyone opinion on this. i beleive his amp pushes about 750 watts. but ill find out for sure. thanks for any help!

gotta be a pair as his box is built into his truck and hes taking his truck to a car show and may look funny with only 1 woofer. i asked him the same thing i said $220 for 1 i could get something pretyt nice but $110 a peice ill get as good as that can buy.

ok found out that his amp is a phoenix gold 600.2 so its only 600 watts RMS

can do a single TS-W1500SPL on 600 watts rms. run about $97

no SPL is the name of the company. Pioneer SPL subs are TS-W####SPL I have a 1500SPL for sale for $90 shipped hits pretty loud. louder than my 2 12" kickers and its 600watts rms 1500 peak

id have to be able to find a 2nd no luck on those subs on ebay

the SPLs are under $200 the pair from a dealer no need for ebay.

/edit whoops looks like they are $150 each now in stores.

IF he would do 10" I will sell my new unopened TS-W1500SPL for $90 shipped and you can ebay another one for $100 shipped and they kick ***.

yea i know. but he dosnt wanna change his box yet. and "blah blah blah blah blah. only wanna spend $220 and i want them to look good whine whine whine whine whine." i personaly recomended a single 15 ported. wouldnt be that hard to make the box. but he wants no part in it. but maybe i could presuade him
