The shop I work at ran 4 13w7's in a wall in a 99 grand prix 2 door and consistently hit 155's. I think it hit as high as 157 before the owner of the car wanted to tear it down and start again to hit 160+. BTW, the 4 subs ran off of 8 1000/1's.

Really curious how many people who actually bash JL have even heard a good JL set up. The shop I use to work at(Nate Munsons shop actually //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif) did a number of W7 installs that were very very loud and just as important

very very clean. If money was no option I would be willing to bet there would be alot more people running JL.

heres a valid score, taken actually yesterday. 6 JL W7's, in a wall, with 6 jl 1000/1's. did 152.9 at carl caspers. it sounded extremely loud too. well, did 131 on drive by. and the guy who got second place in drive by was doing 157.9.
and btw that guy did a 154 last year, same truck also.

If that was in a low tuned box built for daily listening, then that's a pretty good score. If it was tuned high and shooting for spl, then not so much...

i didn't see what frequency he hit it at, but im positive it wasn't high. deff. pretty low. it just sounds awesome.

w7's>r's any day. don't pass that up. turn around and sell if need be. but the w7's are r awesome sounding, decently loud, and not that common for "mainstream". run em for a change =)

Personally I wouldn't run W7's, but that is because I don't like their sound.
