Spinning out in an auto

not that i've read anything else that's been posted. but generally vehicles have a front brake bias. which is the reason you can steer under heavy braking. therefore it doesn't always take a whole lot of brake pressure to let the rear wheels spin loose.

going into drive from a roll in reverse aint too smart either.
lol, reminds me of a serious fucup I made once, I was driven down the street once (35mph) and I saw this girl I knew so I get the bright idea to put the car (92 grand marquis 4.6l)in neutral and rev the engine high as hell to get her attention:rolleyes: , WELL I accidently threw the **** thing into reverse, I though the **** ****** was gonna fall out the car.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wow.gif.23d729408e9177caa2a0ed6a2ba6588e.gif It did light those back tires up pretty nice though, oh and scare the shit outta my friend.

I wonder what the person behind me though when they saw the reverse lights come on:eek:

i was coming out of a yield lane in my stang (in 2nd) and lost the *** end (180 = facing oncoming traffic)... semi-wet asphalt + stupid me = lucky bastard

Well, My car has a 6 cylinder, weighs 3700lbs. empty, 150~175 extra with the system, fwd, and I have no problems with burn outs/smoking them up down the block. No neutral dropping, no e brake. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

This thread isn't about losing control, it's about spinning your tires. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

But since you brought it up. I had something similar a while back. I was taking this girl home to northeast philly, and I was getting off the cottman exit of 95. It was pouring down rain, the off ramp loops around under 95, and as I was getting off(I wasn't speeding) the *** end spun out. I spun ~5 times before it stopped(wouldn't correct). I was so happy because I was inches away from the guard rail and the posts that hold up 95. Not that it did any good, some ******* side swiped three cars on my block about a month later, mine included.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

That would be the ****** and the transfer case absorbing the shock of being put into gear at high RPM.
Why, just why would anyone tach up the motor and dump it into gear?

Power braking I can understand, a *****-brake is even better, but just dump it into drive?

My dad was the same as the guy above, he taught me how to do stupid shit the right way. My first burnout was in his 1970 Olds 442.
We own a 1970 Olds 442 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif I remember when I was little my dad burnin rubber in it, and now I do it in it. But he taught me how to do burnouts in a 5sp Civic..
