Spinning out in an auto

when its rainy down here.. even in my volvo all i do is gun it and im sideways...

its a 4k+ lb car with less then 140 hp hehe and still manages to spin when wet.

dry pavement is a little differant story.

Tried in my moms durango (5.9L v8) one time... dropping from neutral

it was kinda weird, car didnt move much but rpms died real fast and car just chugged away like it cut the gas automatically or something...

its an awd with very wide tires on it so i assume it would have a hard time spinning anyway.

That would be the ****** and the transfer case absorbing the shock of being put into gear at high RPM.

Why, just why would anyone tach up the motor and dump it into gear?

Power braking I can understand, a *****-brake is even better, but just dump it into drive?

My dad was the same as the guy above, he taught me how to do stupid shit the right way. My first burnout was in his 1970 Olds 442.

I like self ownage in my threads, they are the coolest. Oh Yeah!
Lol, so anyways Im guessing I just dont have enough power (4.7 l V8, 235 HP) to spin it out, because I've tried it before and didn't go.
hahah your doing somthign wayyy wrong..

ford ranger

3.0L v6 140 tq 150 hp... light em up all the time.. wtf!

some help:

try to find a road that has intersects another road and has that lil concrete gutter that goes across one of the roads

find one with water in it, set your tires in the water let loose

or for more pleasure start by goin 25 relese the gas so you go about 20 and make the turn to the other road right when tires hit the water floor it, it whips out like maaddd

its good to actualy know the corner first.. so do a drive by just to make sure you know whats up

You cannot power brake a suburban, they wont brake loose.Unless you have a S/C on it you probably can.

I'll have to try it next time I drive the work 'burban. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I'll believe it though.

i want to personally thank the people in this thread that know the dangers and differences between dropping into drive from a high nuetral speed, and powerbraking. good god, no wonder people complain about car quality, when maybe they should realize, its not always the car thats a ****up

i always knew dropping from neutral ****ed up the ******, thats why i dont do it much... i didnt know power braking was any safer or as effective.. i just never tried it to be honest.
It still wears on components, just neutral slamming is like dropping a bomb in your ******.
