Probably a dumb question, but Id like to know so ill ask. When reoning and your wanting a stiff suspension like in an SPL alppication, how do you stack the spiders. Do you just completely glue one on top of the other, glue just in certain areas, or just glue the inner edges to the cone and the outer edges to the basket landing.

Only the outer edges are glued together and then to the spider landing. The inner edges are then all connected to the former/cone assembly.

if they are stacked spiders glue them together around the out lip with ca glue. when dry slide over former get in the position you want them in and glue the bottom spider with a heavy bead to the former then spray with acc.

now sand the bottom spider where it contacts the basket with 50-80 grit. lay down a bead on the basket drop ur spiders/coil assembly in the gap and shim the coil.

now take ur ca glue put a healthy bead top spider to former and let it soak in esp if you are using more than 2 spiders. 30sec is good no put ur cone over the former into the ca glue, spray with acc.

now depending how you do ur leads get those done and soldered. then use 3/4 oz of 2 ton epoxy and puddle cone to former and coat the solderd leads...
