looking for good sq but also a real good beat when i feel the desire... i have an 05 silverado crew cab. i prefer something under the rear seat. probably just a single 10" or 12"(if it would fit). for my front stage im going with dynaudio... the deck will be a kenwood ddx... everything will be powered by zapco... just looking for suggestions on any preffered sizes, set-ups and brands on subs... i local dealer access to quite a bit, and am currently thinking image dynamics (would love to have an idmax, but have no clue if it would fit under that seat or not)...

I'm not a huge Sundown fan, but I will admit that their 8" sub is very surprising. Put one in the biggest ported box you can fit under the seat and enjoy. I'm a TREO fan myself, so look into them too- SSi/SSp line.

Forget under the seat in that crew cab. Look at behind the rear seat.

Just remove the little flap-downs behind the seats and cut off the 2 or 3 useless bolts that are back there.

I usually do 1 DD1008D4 on a DD C2b (~500wrms) in those vehicles.

Its very smooth and a low note monster.

Also, remove the duct work behind those seat. They are the stock vent/flaps to help when you open and close the doors.

Just pull them both out and cover them w/ a few layers of sound damping.

This will allow you to build up to 54" wide w/ the box.

IIRC, you can get 12"high, 5.75" bottom depth, and 4" top depth back there and still have the seat latch.

You can build a little bigger, but the back rest of the seat will not latch. It will just rest against the box. Hell, I have seen people cram up to 8" top-depth in that vehicle. The seat sets WAY too far forward and is at like 90deg angle, but it can be done.
